The tour will take you to discover the main monuments of the Norman Arab circuit which in 2015 were included in the list of monuments of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The route starts from the Palazzo dei Normanni also known as the Royal Palace with the wonderful Palatine Chapel. The visit to the Cathedral with the royal tomes and the chapel of Santa Rosalia follows. A path to discover the mosaics, history and culture that marked these places. During our visit we will also discover the Martorana Church, with its splendid Byzantine mosaics and the Church of San Cataldo. The domes of this church represent one of the most original symbols of Palermo’s Arab-Norman architecture. After the internal visit we will continue with a guided walk through the most important squares of the historic center of Palermo.
- Places: Royal Palace of the Normans with Palatine Chapel, Palermo Cathedral, Quattro Canti Square, Pretoria Square, Bellini Square, Martorana Church and San Cataldo.
- Visits to the Royal Palace can be made only from Friday to Monday during the suspension of the work of the Sicilian Parliament. On all other days you will only visit the Palatine Chapel. The tour does not include entrance fees to monuments.
